Team Building
We are three weeks away from Boulder Startup Week and have quite the lineup of events for you! We’ve experienced immense growth since our first Boulder Startup Week in 2010. This year we’re mixing things up and adding new tracks to the schedule: Enterprise, Work With a Purpose, Robotics, Marketing/Branding, Legal – IP and Entrepreneurship and wait for it…BEER! Some events are already filling up, so remember to register on sched and start adding events to your schedule.
Our track captains have been feverishly adding new events to our sched.org page every day, so keep an eye out for newly added track sessions. We have just under 50 organizers volunteering their time to make this week happen, so if you run into one during #BSW17, please tell them how awesome they are!
We actually got some of the team together last Friday for a little out of the office adventure at The Corner Boxing Club. Coach Carrie Barry, owner, and resident boxing expert gave us an amazing and butt kicking intro class. Although the organizing team tries to meet up every few weeks, it’s difficult with everyone’s schedule and we don’t get to spend a ton of time together. Last Friday was a great opportunity for a few of us to escape the office and sweat out the week.
Shout out to Carrie and her team for letting us come in and experience such an awesome place. She wouldn’t let us take a team picture until the end, so apologies for HOW GREAT WE LOOK.
If The Corner Boxing Club sounds familiar, it’s because Coach Carrie Barry and David Mandell are the masterminds behind Founder Fights. Don’t know it? It’s epic and closes out the week on Friday night. Local founders fight each other and raise money for charity, this year all the money goes to Defy Ventures. If you haven’t yet purchased tickets, I would do so soon.
I’d like to end this post with a little shout out to our team, for spending countless hours meticulously planning and organizing 150+ events for the week. THANKS, TEAM! You are all so inspiring!
