Data Science Track—What to expect for BSW 2018

Who We Are

The data science track is a new track at Boulder Startup Week this year, after having popular data science and machine learning events in previous years. The track is led by Diana Pfeil, CTO at lumo, and Sara Bates, CEO and co-founder of MamaMend. Diana and Sara are also the organizers of the Boulder chapter of Women in Machine Learning & Data Science (WiMLDS). They are passionate about bringing the data science community together with engaging talks and workshops.

Thank you to Carbon Black for sponsoring the Data Science Track!

What and Who Should Attend

The events in the track will be as diverse as the field of data science itself. From business intelligence (BI) metrics and tools to deep learning tech talks, there will be events accessible to non-technical people and events where expert data scientists will learn new techniques and applications. There will also be data engineering talks, data science lightning talks, and an interview-style panel with data scientists from different backgrounds giving advice on becoming a data scientist. And, if somehow you still can’t find what you’re looking for, you can lead a discussion on the topic of your choice at our un-conference event. Hope to see you there!
