This year, Boulder Startup Week boasts nearly 200 events. This feat wouldn’t be possible without amazing sponsors like Boulder Engineering Studio! According to Callie Wentling, the company’s director of business development, BES stays involved with Boulder Startup Week because it unites community “by making entrepreneurs aware of available resources, as well as connecting service providers with other collaborative opportunities.”
This is Boulder Engineering Studio’s second year sponsoring Boulder Startup Week and we’re so happy to have them back!
The company began when two founders wanted to make engineering design and manufacturing more accessible to companies. Today, BES is a fullscale engineering design and product development firm that creates and develops products that the company believes, “can change our world.”
BES provides project design and product development for a variety of applications and diverse clientele. From industrial tools to children’s toys, medical devices, and the Internet of Things, BES designs and propagates projects from concept to market.
Since last year, BES has rebranded and solidified their development process. This means a new cohesive process for clients. For example, if a concept withstands critical scrutiny and highlevel engineering design, then BES moves forward with iterative prototyping and a clear strategy through production. If BES finds major design road blocks, then they will either architect an alternative path forward or advise their clients to pivot away from a flawed concept before spending valuable resources and time.
One of BES’s clients, Knob Where You Need It, just finished their first round of manufacturing and is now on Kickstarter (KWYNI Kickstarter)! BES also finished up work on a smart greenhouse, as well as drone, camera, and botanic accessories.
This year at Boulder Startup Week, BES is putting on an exciting event called, “Early Manufacturing and Prototyping”. Check it out at madelife on Thursday, May 19 9:30am.
