Welcome to the BSW 2025 Pitch Competition! Our goal is to provide a place for founders to pitch their startup, gain exposure for their company, and compete for cash and in-kind prizes to help accelerate the company’s growth! The prize is non-dilutive but must be used towards the business. Prizes will be announced soon.
The first 50 startups to apply will make the first round of qualification. The next round will be a semi-final round to live-pitch with a Q&A on Monday, May 12. From that, the finalists will be chosen by our panel of judges to pitch their startup at a final event in front of the BSW community on Thursday, May 15th!
Deadline:
The deadline for submissions is 3pm MT Monday, April 21st. However, submissions will cut off once 50 startups have applied. We recommend not waiting until the deadline to submit for this reason.
Entry Criteria:
- Your startup must be either:
- Pre-funding OR
- Raised max $150K in aid investments AND/OR
- Raised max $250K in grants
- Annual revenue cap: $250K
- Must have a Colorado presence
- Must be able to be in-person for live Pitch Competitions
Pitch Deck:
Pitch must have the following slides (additional slides are allowed). You may order them however you’d like.
- Problem
- Solution
- Business model (how you will make money)
- Competition
- 5 year projection
- Use of funds from this competition
- Timeline (work-to-date, funding, roadmap)
- Team
Recommendations:
- 0-4 text bullets per slide
- Each bullet = one simplified statement (about 6 words)
Submission Rules:
A maximum 2 minute video of your pitch must be submitted in mp4 format.
Must be limited to 15 slides MAXIMUM.
Pitch judges may eliminate entries based on video/deck requirement fulfillment.
Timeline:
April 21st (or once 50 applications have been submitted): Deadline for Entries
April 30th: Notice to Entrants of semi-final selection
May 12th: Semi-Finalists pitch at live event during Boulder Startup Week
May 16th: Live Final Pitch Competition Event at Boulder Startup Week
