Led this year by Startup Week veteran and founder of Alpine Start, Alex Hanifin, community-first, Ironman-finishing finance guru at Sunrise Strategic Partners, Joe Matta, and former food startupper turned Techstars employee, ideator behind Startup Weekend Food + Tech, Jordan Rothenberg. The three are laser focused on delivering an engaging lineup of educational and social events that are sure to provide value to seasoned foodies and newcomers alike.
Enthusiasts of the Food and Beer Tracks can expect events that will cover the full lifecycle of a food or food and tech brand, including, but not limited to:
- Certifications and Legalese
- Branding and Packaging
- Financing and Investment
- Tech Trends
- Perspectives from the Farm
- Go-to-Market Strategies
The biggest challenge the organizing trio are currently facing is how to narrow down the list of potential speakers and experts. Boulder is full of them! They’ve also developed a tight relationship with Sanitas Brewing Co. founder Michael Memsic and are planning to close out the week with a night of local craft beer and games at the Boulder tap room.
And while Boulder Startup Week is a great platform for highlighting all the food community has to offer, we plan to keep the momentum going after BSW 2018!
During BSW we will be launching “Start Me Up” – a speaker series hosted at Sanitas Brewery featuring founders from across the startup lifecycle, from early stage through exit! The series launch on Thursday night, May 17, will focus on Food Founders, ya know, #becausefood. Expect an evening of networking with a craft beer from Sanitas in one hand and tacos on us from McDevitt Tacos in the other.
Whether you’re already a staple in the Boulder food startup community or have an appetite for checking it out, there’s surely an event, or five, for you.
See you there!
