Welcome Cisco to Boulder Startup Week 2016 as a sponsor! We’re thrilled to have them as a partner, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with them on BSW2016 events. Here’s a little blog post put together by the folks bringing you Cisco Spark at BSW2016. Enjoy!

We’re super excited to be a part of Boulder Startup Week 2016! Our goal? Meet some awesome people building awesome things. Our spot? The Boulder Theater, of course, right in the heart of town. Come by and see us at the Spark Haus by Cisco on May 19th. We’re taking over Basecamp for a day – and yes, we’re shamelessly bragging about this to anyone who will listen.
At Spark Haus you’ll be able to do all sorts of things from playing the Cisco Spark version of Conway’s Game of Life, hearing from some awesome thought leaders like Jose de Castro and Uber’s Chris Messina, or getting the scoop on our new $150M Spark Innovation Fund. You’ll also be able to peruse a local job fair (we’ve heard it’s epic) or just chill out and recharge during a busy week.
Want to get a sneak peek into what Spark Haus is like? Check out what we did at SxSW 2016!
But why is Cisco sponsoring Boulder Startup Week 2016? Aside from the scenery and beer, we’ve got two new developer platforms in Cisco Spark and Tropo, and we’re hungry to see what devs around the world can build. So our journey to Boulder actually starts in 6 cities across North America as we hop aboard the hellishly challenging but amazingly rewarding StartupBus competition. It’s a unique startup experience where people with nothing but an idea and their computers gather together in a literal bus and launch a startup on their way to Boulder Startup Week. Once in Colorado, they’ll learn how to cultivate and foster the startup they just came up with and Cisco Spark and Tropo will be with them every step of the way. The competition wraps up at Spark Haus where finalists will pitch their ideas on stage for Techstars and all of you cool people at BSW!
So, yea – we’re super proud not only to be a sponsor, but also to make our APIs available for the techies in Boulder as well as the StartupBus “Buspreneurs” as they embark on a journey of epic proportions. The trek begins May 15! You can follow along with us on Twitter to see all the excitement as it happens.
