Hope you are all safe and staying at home.
Our usual big THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN PERSON event is also going to stay home this year… BSW isn’t canceled: it is physically distancing. We are scaling back a bit and putting the event 100% online. The team discussed cancelling all together but we thought what better time than now to draw upon our mission of creating community? Now is the time for us to support one another and do what we can for the community we love. So we decided to keep going, raise some spirits, learn from one another, and do a special digital edition of our beloved Boulder Startup Week and Service to Community.
We can help define what our community needs, who needs it, and how we can help.
Big problems require creative solutions and there is no group more skilled and caring than our BSW community. Let’s use our event energy for service to the community we love.
In the coming weeks we will be launching the schedule of online events.
Here are local efforts that we would like to highlight. If you have more to add we will be updating the site and schedule.
- Downtown Boulder Employee Relief Fund: Donate and help fellow Boulder employees who have lost their jobs.
- Keep Our Town Alive: An extensive list of locally-owned businesses you can support through purchasing gift cards or services.
- Feed The Frontlines Boulder: A win win started by Kyle Judah, Elaine Reddy, and Vikas Reddy to provide fantastic food from local restaurants to frontline workers.
- Resources for Unprecedented Times: A list of resources from the tech community in Boulder and where to get help, put together by our friend, Dave Mayor.
